French Ski Chalet

This has been one of my most exciting projects to date – a large four-story, six-bedroom ski chalet in the French alpine resort of Meribel. In total I made ten pairs of full-length curtains, two laminated roller blinds and two plain roman blinds. Accessories included twenty-five cushions and two laundry bags. Everything was transported from Bardon Mill to France and the client then spent a considerable amount of time fitting the poles and hanging the curtains. At 65 meters long, the stunning wool plaid hung in the living area was made from the longest roll of fabric I’ve ever ordered and was extremely daunting to cut. The remarkable thing was that I was able to work remotely from very detailed measurements, drawings and photographs supplied by the client.
